The church in Ensenada Mexico is planning an outreach campaign for the week after Easter, and they have invited us to go down and help them. Pedro Dillon has produced some evangelistic literature based around the 2010 Soccer World Cup, so we will be taking several hundred thousand of these down to Mexico to distribute.
We will be driving down in vans leaving from Hillview Bible Chapel on Saturday April 3rd at 6am and, God willing, arriving in Ensenada at around 6pm the same day. Then we will meet our host families and stay with them for a week distributing literature and doing other evangelistic activities. The program will include one day of free time to explore the city. We will leave Ensenada early on Friday April 9th arriving back in Cupertino that same evening, God willing!
We would ask each participant to share in the expenses. We expect the cost to be $200 per participant ($100 toward the cost of the literature, and $100 for gas & vehicle expenses). Most of the meals will be provided by the host families, but you should bring at least another $50 in cash for meals on the journey and other small expenses. We also recommend you bring a small gift ($10 - $20) for your host family.
You do not need to be able to speak Spanish to join us, but if you don’t speak Spanish fluently you may be paired with someone who does. We are more interested in people with enthusiasm to serve, a willingness to be flexible, and humility to learn.
We expect the American team to include people from different assemblies, so we will need some time to get to know each other so we can work together more effectively. So there will be one mandatory orientation session for all team members on Sat March 27, 2pm – 4pm.

We’d like it if you could pay at least some portion of your contribution to the expenses for the trip at the orientation session, and the balance can be paid any time prior to departure.
